Skills Training Workshop Held at Kofibadukrom in Collaboration with The New Force
A three-day skills training workshop was successfully held from October 16th to 18th, 2024, at Kofibadukrom in the Bono Region. Organized in collaboration with The New Force, the event aimed to equip participants with practical, marketable skills to enhance employability and foster entrepreneurship within the community.

The workshop featured hands-on training in various fields, including arts and crafts, chemical production, and pastry-making, with a unique highlight on satellite installation. The sessions were led by experienced facilitators who guided participants through practical exercises to ensure they could immediately apply their new skills.

On Day 1, the program introduced participants to bridal accessory making, such as bridal fans, bouquets, and fascinators. Additionally, 23 participants engaged in a detailed satellite installation training session, gaining technical skills in mounting dishes, aligning satellites, and troubleshooting—a highly sought-after service in rural and urban areas alike.
Day 2 focused on chemical production, where participants learned to make liquid soap, shower gel, hair shampoo, antiseptic, and even brown sugar. Facilitator Lord Lawson ensured the training was practical and interactive, dividing the 40 participants into groups for effective learning.
The final day, Day 3, was dedicated to pastry-making, covering the preparation of long and short chips, rock cakes, and biscuits. The session provided attendees with entrepreneurial insights into starting small-scale baking ventures.

The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony, during which participants received certificates of participation and showcased the products they had created. Funded entirely by The New Force, the program reached 80 participants over three days, empowering them with skills to enhance their economic prospects.
The event was a resounding success, leaving participants motivated and ready to apply their newfound skills in their communities.
